HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY LUKE! 6.30.06

Remembering that day 3 years ago today. The above picture is of me the morning leaving for my c-section. I gained 19lbs.

Before they started to prep me for my c-section.

Luke weighed 8lbs. Notice my dr's eyes, he thought he was a big one!

Proud parents

Luke had the chubbiest cheeks ever. My second pregnancy was very similar to the first. I loved it! I enjoyed every minute of it. Luke was born at 38 weeks. They did an amniocentesis to make sure his lungs were developed before delivering him. (That was something they didn't do with Carter. Carter was born at 37 weeks and spent a week in Children's). They told me later that afternoon that he was ready and I was to come in for a c-section in the morning. If I had to compare one delivery to the other I'd say they were equal. Both ways natural vs c-section had it's ups and downs. After delivery both of my boys had jaundice and that is what kept Carter in Children's. Thankfully we treated Luke's at home with a lighted blanket. They are complete opposites but that's what keeps it interesting. When I found out I was having a second boy I just wanted him to be completely different and in some ways it's been good and other ways are challenging. There is definitely something special about your second. Luke brings me so many smiles without doing a thing. I can't believe my baby is 3 today. Love you Lukey! Stay tuned for party pictures.

Happy Father's Day

We spent some time at the pool for Father's Day! These boys love their daddy so much! Hugs and kisses for daddy! XOXO

Play date with the Carpenter's 6.20.09

Carter, Evan and Luke

Luke

Carter

The boys had a blast playing with Evan and Elliott. No pictures of Elliott because he goes to bed early. These boys could have partied all night. They loved dressing up in costumes and Luke loved the marshmallow gun. Sorry Ann, I hope you found all of them!

Camping Room and The Greatest Neighbor EVER!

Here is a pic of the boys camping theme room. We have our house up for sale so I didn't finish putting things on the wall. Each bed has a tent to put over it and we have lots of fun and injuries when we use them.

This is the best neighbor anyone could ever have. The boys love Carmen and always check in with him to see what he's doing. We will really miss him if we end up moving!

Carter's Day at the Zoo 6.14.09

I decided to take just Carter to the zoo for a little one on one time. In the past we never have time to stop at Jungle Jack's landing so this time that was our first stop. It was a really fun day and we got to see and do everything we wanted.

Fishing Derby 6.13.09

Grandma Deb picked up Carter on Saturday morning 6/13 and took him to a fishing derby at Indian Lake. It was from 9-12 so once Luke and I got up and around we met them there to see if he had any luck. He didn't catch a single fish but was the winner of a new Zebco rod. Thanks Grandma!!!

Hanging w/ Aunt Tacey, Sat. 6/6

I think Reese looks like a little old man here!

Awww, the 3 girls in the Barbie jeep!
We spent Saturday at Craig and Stacey's camper. We swam, played at the park, walked around the pond and had fun with surrounding kids and families. It was a really fun day!

Fishing Saturday June 6th

Luke's big catch!

Mom's big catch!

We had so much fun fishing Saturday evening. Carter learned how to cast his rod and he was really excited. We ended the night at home with a fire in our back yard making smores, yum!

After bath cuties!

Discovery Center Program

Hard to see but Carter is right in the center!

Carter and his friend Kumi.

They made their monkey t-shirts in school.

Memorial Day Camping

I thought this was a pretty picture. I took this while we were fishing.

We had such a good time camping. The boys are a lot easier to camp with this year.

Memorial Day Camping cont.

Luke, you will hate me for this when you graduate!

Happy Mother's Day to Me and to all Moms!

I love my boys! They make me smile! Most of all I love being a mommy!

Don't let the above pictures of myself and the boys fool you. They really love their daddy too and constantly fight over who gets to go with him. I tell Clark "it must be tuff being the favorite parent"!

Fun with Kites

Carter was really getting into it.

Mi-mi helping Luke.

I got mine the highest. I let out all my string. Then I was left winding it all back up while the rest of the family took a walk around the park.
