Happy 4th Birthday Carter!

Carter will turn 4 on December 11th. So incredibly hard to believe. We had a surprise birthday party for him on Sunday the 7th. He asked for his party to be a surprise. We pulled it off because he was so genuinely surprised. After things calmed down he said "thanks for the party mom". That made it all worth it. When we got home all I wanted to do was clean because it had been a busy weekend but I couldn't resist playing with him when he asked. He had a really great day. Thanks to all of you that came to make it so special!

Mama's Buck

I shot this buck Saturday morning. This was my first morning out this season. Clark and I were in the blind maybe an hour when 3 doe and this buck walked out. Clark had seen this buck several times while out hunting but he is shopping for something bigger. I am a busy mama so I decided I thought he was nice enough for me. He is a real even 8-point. It was so exciting!

The cousins

This picture was taken Thanksgiving day. Reese, Carter and Luke were sitting on Reese's spiderman couch. This is a rare photo of them all sitting together without pinching or pulling hair.

Jake's First Buck

My nephew Jake shot his first buck during the youth shotgun season. Clark took him out the last evening and he was lucky enough to get a nice 8-point. A great first buck! Congratulations Jake!

Snowy days are here! 11/15/08

What a surprise to see the snow coming down on Saturday. Carter would not stop asking me if he could go out to play. Finally after getting Luke down for a nap I let him go out to do the shoveling. After about 20 minutes he came in and said he was cold and he wanted hot chocolate!

Trick or Treat

Luke kept making this funny face every time we would say "say cheese"!

Carter "The Pirate", Reese "The Spider" and Luke "The Monkey".

That is one silly pirate!

Luke was serious about his candy. He wanted to pick out several pieces out of every bowl he walked up to.

Step Out-Walk to Fight Diabetes!

"Team Lucy" participated in Step Out-Walk to Fight Diabetes on Sunday October 26th raising over $900. We had a really good time at COSI. November is Diabetes awareness month and there are 23.6 million children and adults in the United States, or 7.8% of the population, who have diabetes. While an estimated 17.9 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, unfortunately, 5.7 million people (or nearly one quarter) are unaware that they have the disease. Most of you know I am affected by this disease and although you can live somewhat of a normal healthy lifestyle with it, it can be very complicating at times and the long term effects are really scary if you don't take care of yourself. Thank you to everyone who donated to this cause that means so much to my family and I to find a cure.

Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year we decided to carve pumpkins. It was too messy for Carter he didn't want to touch it and Luke really wasn't that into it either. Clark and I did most the work. Carter claimed the Spider and Luke had the face pumpkin.

Pumpkins 10.12.08

This was at Hurly Farms out on 117.

Luke found his pumpkin!
A hug? Belive it or not they were showing each other some love in this photo.

The kids loved the hay maze. Luke got scared a couple times but once he got the hang of it we couldn't get him to leave.

ZOO 10.11.08

Carter, Luke and Reese!
Grandma Phyllis hiding from the boys.
Petting zoo.
Reese liked riding them.
Dale and mom enjoying the train ride.
Luke being cheesy on the elephant.
Carter haning out on the stingray.
This is when we got home. Luke fell asleep before we left the parking lot.
